Solid bars require fine lead-screw feed and heavy radial cutting pressure, while hollow pipes need self-centering chucking that does not crush thin tube walls; our dual-purpose machines incorporate interchangeable vise jaws and speed ranges to handle both workloads efficiently.</p>.
<p>Featuring a heavy-duty bed, a multi-speed geared headstock, and an adjustable tangential die head, the machine cuts threads on solid steel bolts and studs up to M65 / 2.1/2" diameter as well as nominal bore pipes from 1/2" to 2.1/2". Switching between bolt threads (metric, BSW, UNC) and pipe threads (BSP, NPT) requires only changing the chaser set and engaging the appropriate lead or taper cam.</p>
