Rebar threading for foundation bolt and anchor bolt production runs.
The National Cutting Tools Hydraulic Thread Rolling Machine is a high-tonnage industrial cold forming machine designed for rolling high-tensile threads onto scaffolding tie-rods, acme jack screws, anchor bolts, and rebar couplers. Unlike thread cutting which removes metal and severs the natural grain flow of the steel, cold roll forming reorganizes the grain structure through high plastic deformation, increasing thread tensile strength by up to 25% and fatigue life by up to 300%.
Built with a heavy monolithic cast-iron and stress-relieved steel frame, the machine features two or three hardened alloy steel rolling spindles driven by a heavy-duty gearbox and high-pressure hydraulic feed cylinder delivering 15 to 60 metric tons of hydraulic thrust. The through-feed or in-feed rolling cycles produce mirror-smooth DIN, ISO, and ASME ACME thread profiles with exceptional pitch accuracy.
Engineered in Ludhiana for heavy continuous operation, the system is equipped with hardened ground alloy dies (Cr12MoV / D2 steel), integrated flood coolant filtration, and dual-speed hydraulic pressure regulation for high-volume structural fastener manufacturing.
Rolling compresses the steel grain structure rather than cutting it, increasing surface hardness by 15–20% and preventing stripping.
High-pressure hydraulic slide cylinders provide rigid penetration power for high-tensile carbon and alloy steels (Grade 8.8, 10.9).
Handles long scaffolding tie-rods and coil rods up to 6 meters via continuous through-feed, or short bolts via precision in-feed.
Precision CNC ground alloy dies deliver Class 6g and 2A/2B thread pitch accuracy over millions of production cycles.
Heavy gear reduction box and high-capacity hydraulic oil heat exchanger ensure 24/7 continuous operation without thermal breakdown.
