Unlike radial chasers that cut with their side profile and have limited regrind life, tangential chasers are mounted tangentially to the workpiece and cut on their front end face. This tangential geometry allows chasers to be repeatedly sharpened simply by grinding the chamfer angle, utilizing up to 80% of the chaser length for exceptional tool economy.</p>.
<p>Manufactured from premium vacuum-heat-treated M2 (6/5/2) and cobalt-alloyed M35 high-speed steel, our tangential chasers achieve working hardness of 62 to 65 HRC with superior red hardness and wear resistance. Available in complete sets of four chasers, each set is precision CNC ground with pitch-matched thread forms conforming to BSP, BSPT, NPT, metric, BSW, and UNC standards.</p>
