Milling Machines for Saudi Arabia (KSA)
National Cutting Tools builds vertical and universal milling machines for producing the jigs, fixtures, die blocks and weld locators that a scaffold or rebar plant depends on at its works in Ludhiana, Punjab, and ships them to Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, Al Khobar, Jubail and Yanbu through King Abdulaziz Port, Dammam. The machines produce weld fixtures, rosette locating plates, die blocks and machined guides, and are built to the geometry and tolerances called up by IS 2368 and DIN 8615 accuracy classes. Every consignment for Saudi Arabia is rewound for 60 Hz, which is a different motor and gearbox selection rather than a nameplate change: at 60 Hz an unmodified 50 Hz motor runs 20 percent fast, shifting cycle timing, hydraulic flow and weld travel speed.
Where the demand comes from
Fixture, jig and die block work for the Kingdom's expanding fabrication base is local work, and it scores under IKTVA. Mills are supplied with 60 Hz feed and spindle drives.
Delivered to: Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, Al Khobar, Jubail, Yanbu, Mecca, Medina

Electrical build
Supply: 380V, 3-phase, 60 Hz. Rewound for 60 Hz, which is a different motor and gearbox selection rather than a nameplate change: at 60 Hz an unmodified 50 Hz motor runs 20 percent fast, shifting cycle timing, hydraulic flow and weld travel speed.
Shipping & crating
A geared vertical mill ships as a single crate with the head locked; the knee and table are greased and strapped for the sea leg. Sailings from Mundra and Nhava Sheva reach Dammam in 6 to 9 days, or Jeddah Islamic Port on the Red Sea rotation, discharging at King Abdulaziz Port, Dammam (SADMM). Machines are crated to ISPM-15 heat-treated standard with desiccant and a vapour barrier, and the packing list, commercial invoice and chamber-attested Certificate of Origin travel with the consignment.
Standards & import documentation
Machines in this class normally clear customs under HS heading 8459.61. Spindle runout and table squareness are checked against the test chart supplied with the machine. Import clearance in Saudi Arabia runs on SASO technical regulations declared through the SABER platform, with a Product Certificate of Conformity issued per consignment. The works issues the manufacturer test certificate, electrical schematic and material test report with every machine, so the buyer's submittal pack is complete on arrival rather than assembled afterwards.
| Conformity | SASO technical regulations declared through the SABER platform; Product Certificate of Conformity prepared per shipment. Pre-shipment inspection accepted at the Ludhiana works. |
| Tariff headings | Typical headings: 8515.31 (arc/MIG welding machines), 8459.70 (threading and tapping machines), 8462.49 (punching and notching machines), 8479.89 (special purpose machines). |
| Port (UN/LOCODE) | King Abdulaziz Port, Dammam (SADMM) |
| Incoterms offered | EXW Ludhiana, FOB Mundra / Nhava Sheva, CIF Dammam or CIF Jeddah |
Spares & after-sales support
Wear parts for this class are spindle bearings, feed gearbox parts, collet sets and the table lead screw nuts. Interior sites at Riyadh and NEOM combine 50 C summer peaks with abrasive dust; coastal Jubail and Jeddah add chloride-laden humidity. Machines are specified accordingly, and the 60 Hz requirement is engineered in at the motor and pump stage. Spare-part orders are quoted against the machine serial number.
