Band Saw Machines for Saudi Arabia (KSA)
National Cutting Tools builds metal-cutting band saws and cold saws that billet tube and bar to length as the first operation in a scaffold or rebar line at its works in Ludhiana, Punjab, and ships them to Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, Al Khobar, Jubail and Yanbu through King Abdulaziz Port, Dammam. The machines produce square-cut tube and bar lengths feeding punching, threading and welding stations, and are built to the geometry and tolerances called up by EN 13898 for metal sawing machine safety. Every consignment for Saudi Arabia is rewound for 60 Hz, which is a different motor and gearbox selection rather than a nameplate change: at 60 Hz an unmodified 50 Hz motor runs 20 percent fast, shifting cycle timing, hydraulic flow and weld travel speed.
Where the demand comes from
Tube and bar billeting is the entry point for Saudi fabricators moving from assembly to manufacture, and sawing is usually the first machine bought. The 60 Hz build affects blade speed, so the drive is specified for the Kingdom.
Delivered to: Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, Al Khobar, Jubail, Yanbu, Mecca, Medina

Electrical build
Supply: 380V, 3-phase, 60 Hz. Rewound for 60 Hz, which is a different motor and gearbox selection rather than a nameplate change: at 60 Hz an unmodified 50 Hz motor runs 20 percent fast, shifting cycle timing, hydraulic flow and weld travel speed.
Shipping & crating
Saws crate compactly; the roller conveyor and length stop are the bulky items and are usually shipped knocked down. Sailings from Mundra and Nhava Sheva reach Dammam in 6 to 9 days, or Jeddah Islamic Port on the Red Sea rotation, discharging at King Abdulaziz Port, Dammam (SADMM). Machines are crated to ISPM-15 heat-treated standard with desiccant and a vapour barrier, and the packing list, commercial invoice and chamber-attested Certificate of Origin travel with the consignment.
Standards & import documentation
Machines in this class normally clear customs under HS heading 8461.50. Cut squareness and length repeatability are proved across a batch, because downstream weld fit-up depends on the cut, not on the welder. Import clearance in Saudi Arabia runs on SASO technical regulations declared through the SABER platform, with a Product Certificate of Conformity issued per consignment. The works issues the manufacturer test certificate, electrical schematic and material test report with every machine, so the buyer's submittal pack is complete on arrival rather than assembled afterwards.
| Conformity | SASO technical regulations declared through the SABER platform; Product Certificate of Conformity prepared per shipment. Pre-shipment inspection accepted at the Ludhiana works. |
| Tariff headings | Typical headings: 8515.31 (arc/MIG welding machines), 8459.70 (threading and tapping machines), 8462.49 (punching and notching machines), 8479.89 (special purpose machines). |
| Port (UN/LOCODE) | King Abdulaziz Port, Dammam (SADMM) |
| Incoterms offered | EXW Ludhiana, FOB Mundra / Nhava Sheva, CIF Dammam or CIF Jeddah |
Spares & after-sales support
Wear parts for this class are saw blades, blade guides, coolant pumps and the vice clamping cylinders. Interior sites at Riyadh and NEOM combine 50 C summer peaks with abrasive dust; coastal Jubail and Jeddah add chloride-laden humidity. Machines are specified accordingly, and the 60 Hz requirement is engineered in at the motor and pump stage. Spare-part orders are quoted against the machine serial number.
