Power Press Machine for Malaysia

National Cutting Tools builds mechanical C-frame and H-frame power presses from roughly 20 to 150 tonnes for blanking, piercing and cup forming at its works in Ludhiana, Punjab, and ships them to Kuala Lumpur, Klang, Shah Alam, Johor Bahru, Pasir Gudang and Penang through Port Klang. The machines produce scaffold cups, base plates, brackets, gussets and cleats, and are built to the geometry and tolerances called up by EN 692 for mechanical press safety and IS 5062 for the frame. Every consignment for Malaysia is supplied with tropicalised motor insulation rated for high ambient humidity, which attacks electrical windings long before it affects the mechanics.

Where the demand comes from

Cup, plate and bracket pressing for Malaysian scaffold manufacture follows welding capacity, and presses are specified with humidity-rated electrics for the climate. Energy Commission electrical requirements are addressed in the panel build.

Shipping & crating

Press frames are dense: a 100 tonne C-frame is typically over-dimension for a standard container and moves as flat rack or break-bulk, which changes the freight quotation materially. Port Klang and Penang Port are served from Nhava Sheva and Mundra in 8 to 12 days, discharging at Port Klang (MYPKG). Machines are crated to ISPM-15 heat-treated standard with desiccant and a vapour barrier, and the packing list, commercial invoice and chamber-attested Certificate of Origin travel with the consignment.

Standards & import documentation

Machines in this class normally clear customs under HS heading 8462.49. The press is run off on the buyer's own die to prove shut height, and the guarding and two-hand control are set to the importing country's inspection requirement. Import clearance in Malaysia runs on SIRIM QAS inspection where the buyer specifies it, Energy Commission (Suruhanjaya Tenaga) electrical requirements, and AIFTA Form AI where the consignment qualifies for preferential duty. The works issues the manufacturer test certificate, electrical schematic and material test report with every machine, so the buyer's submittal pack is complete on arrival rather than assembled afterwards.

Spares & after-sales support

Wear parts for this class are clutch and brake linings, flywheel bearings, slide gibs and the overload protection discs. The monsoon and constant humidity are the design constraint here, not heat. Tropicalised motor insulation is specified for the Malaysia rotation, and the ASEAN-India FTA can remove duty on qualifying headings. Spare-part orders are quoted against the machine serial number.
