Thread Bar Machinery for Malaysia
National Cutting Tools builds thread rolling and cutting lines for tie rods, jack screws, anchor bars and formwork accessories at its works in Ludhiana, Punjab, and ships them to Kuala Lumpur, Klang, Shah Alam, Johor Bahru, Pasir Gudang and Penang through Port Klang. The machines produce Tr and metric rolled threads on solid bar for base jacks, U-head jacks and wall-form tie rods, and are built to the geometry and tolerances called up by ISO 965 tolerance classes, DIN 975 and DIN 976 for the bar itself. Every consignment for Malaysia is supplied with tropicalised motor insulation rated for high ambient humidity, which attacks electrical windings long before it affects the mechanics.
Where the demand comes from
Formwork tie rods and jack screws for the Malaysian shoring trade corrode quickly in the climate and are replaced often, which makes in-house thread rolling from imported bar a straightforward economic case.

Shipping & crating
Bar lines are long rather than heavy: the infeed magazine and outfeed conveyor determine container choice, and a 40 ft HC is the usual answer for a full line. Port Klang and Penang Port are served from Nhava Sheva and Mundra in 8 to 12 days, discharging at Port Klang (MYPKG). Machines are crated to ISPM-15 heat-treated standard with desiccant and a vapour barrier, and the packing list, commercial invoice and chamber-attested Certificate of Origin travel with the consignment.
Standards & import documentation
Machines in this class normally clear customs under HS heading 8459.70. Thread class is verified with go/no-go ring gauges on the buyer's bar stock, since rolled thread class depends on the incoming bar diameter tolerance. Import clearance in Malaysia runs on SIRIM QAS inspection where the buyer specifies it, Energy Commission (Suruhanjaya Tenaga) electrical requirements, and AIFTA Form AI where the consignment qualifies for preferential duty. The works issues the manufacturer test certificate, electrical schematic and material test report with every machine, so the buyer's submittal pack is complete on arrival rather than assembled afterwards.
| Conformity | SIRIM QAS inspection where the buyer specifies it, and Energy Commission (Suruhanjaya Tenaga) electrical requirements; AIFTA Form AI issued where the consignment qualifies for preferential duty. |
| Tariff headings | Typical headings: 8515.31 (arc/MIG welding machines), 8459.70 (threading and tapping machines), 8462.29 (bending and forming presses), 8479.89 (special purpose machines). |

Spares & after-sales support
Wear parts for this class are thread rolls, straightening rollers, feed collets and drive belts. The monsoon and constant humidity are the design constraint here, not heat. Tropicalised motor insulation is specified for the Malaysia rotation, and the ASEAN-India FTA can remove duty on qualifying headings. Spare-part orders are quoted against the machine serial number.
