Hydraulic Shearing Machines for Malaysia
National Cutting Tools builds hydraulic guillotine shears for cutting plate down to blanks before forming at its works in Ludhiana, Punjab, and ships them to Kuala Lumpur, Klang, Shah Alam, Johor Bahru, Pasir Gudang and Penang through Port Klang. The machines produce base plate blanks, gussets, cleats and stiffener plate, and are built to the geometry and tolerances called up by EN 13985 for shear safety. Every consignment for Malaysia is supplied with tropicalised motor insulation rated for high ambient humidity, which attacks electrical windings long before it affects the mechanics.
Where the demand comes from
Plate blanking for base plates, cleats and stiffeners supports the Malaysian scaffold and structural steel trade. Over-width shear beds move as flat rack from Nhava Sheva to Port Klang.

Shipping & crating
Shear beds are wide rather than tall; a 2500 mm shear is over-width for a standard container and moves as flat rack, so the freight line item is a real part of the landed cost. Port Klang and Penang Port are served from Nhava Sheva and Mundra in 8 to 12 days, discharging at Port Klang (MYPKG). Machines are crated to ISPM-15 heat-treated standard with desiccant and a vapour barrier, and the packing list, commercial invoice and chamber-attested Certificate of Origin travel with the consignment.
Standards & import documentation
Machines in this class normally clear customs under HS heading 8462.31. Blade clearance is set for the buyer's actual plate thickness and grade, then proved on a cut sample for burr and camber. Import clearance in Malaysia runs on SIRIM QAS inspection where the buyer specifies it, Energy Commission (Suruhanjaya Tenaga) electrical requirements, and AIFTA Form AI where the consignment qualifies for preferential duty. The works issues the manufacturer test certificate, electrical schematic and material test report with every machine, so the buyer's submittal pack is complete on arrival rather than assembled afterwards.
| Conformity | SIRIM QAS inspection where the buyer specifies it, and Energy Commission (Suruhanjaya Tenaga) electrical requirements; AIFTA Form AI issued where the consignment qualifies for preferential duty. |
| Tariff headings | Typical headings: 8515.31 (arc/MIG welding machines), 8459.70 (threading and tapping machines), 8462.29 (bending and forming presses), 8479.89 (special purpose machines). |

Spares & after-sales support
Wear parts for this class are shear blades, back gauge drive parts, hydraulic seals and the hold-down cylinders. The monsoon and constant humidity are the design constraint here, not heat. Tropicalised motor insulation is specified for the Malaysia rotation, and the ASEAN-India FTA can remove duty on qualifying headings. Spare-part orders are quoted against the machine serial number.
